Originally from Boston she has lived all over the south with her Husband, Ethan of 21 years and five children. Heather just recently purchased her dream home! A small farm in Virginia where she plans to firmly plant her roots! She can't wait to grow her own garden of vegetables and build her dreams of a tiny ark full of animals. She's off to a good start because the home came with two barn kittens they've named Henley and Whisky; she just hopes they will one day see her as more than the lady with a can of wet cat food.
She loving calls her place "The Ridge" and believes that she and her own manly version of Jamie Fraser can finally grow old surrounded by their family! Even though her friends think she's a crazy, Heather beams with pride when they jokingly say she is starting an Ark with the barrage of animals she takes on. Everyone has a place in her home and she can't wait to fill it! She's already started as Heather begged her husband to let her keep a stray kitten she found. He's now a snuggly indoor cat they've appropriately named "Mac," short for Mackenzie.
Right now, her newly purchased farm is small, but she dreams of adding chickens, a pig ane named Fergus, a donkey named Clarence, and a pair of goats she wants to name Jack and Jane. She just has to convince her husband of letting her have them, but slow and steady wins the race! But she knows where his goat is tied and he's not fond of eating TV dinners and frozen pizza's for the rest of his marriage!
Heather was first introduced to the Outlander series in 1994 by her grandmother, and has already begun to pass the books down to her own daughter who is enjoys the books and the show, proving that like mother, like daughter, is indeed a real and good thing. Her son's enjoy the show too, but for the sake of his "street cred" he'll remain anonymous.
When she is not working for Sophisticats, she is taking up her new hobby creating stain glass designs, and watching Gilmore Girls with her daughter and finding new ways to be snarky.
